Have your say on Driver CPC exemption proposals
The Driving Standards Agency wants to hear your views and has launched a consultation on the scope of Driver CPC (DCPC) exemptions. This includes taking vehicles to and from VOSA testing facilities.
Trade bodies have already expressed their concerns that holding a DCPC will be a burden for operators for their drivers in specific circumstances such as:
- Vehicle engineers taking vehicles to a VOSA testing station
- Valets delivering or collecting leased or rental vehicles
- Engineers delivering changeover buses
- Employees moving vehicles within the depot
You can read the full consultation document here.
The consultation closes on 28 June 2013.
