What do Smartanalysis users think of the DVSA’s Earned Recognition?
Following a twelve-month pilot, the DVSA’s Earned Recognition went live on April 24th. Descartes were part of the pilot as a validated systems provider for KPIs relating to tachograph data from Smartanalysis.
Earned Recognition scheme is a voluntary scheme for all operators who can demonstrate a strong track record of compliance and adherence to standards. Operators who successfully achieve the Earned Recognition status will benefit from fewer roadside checks and visits from enforcement officers and enables DVSA to focus resources on the seriously and serially non-compliant.
The DVSA have now published feedback on Earned Recognition from operators involved in the pilot and this includes two Smartanalysis users, one of which was the first operator to join the pilot and uses Descartes Smartanalysis Earned Recognition KPIs.
Below are a few comments from Staples Vegetables and New Image Stone on Earned Recognition. You can see all the feedback from four operators on the DVSA’s Moving On Blog.
As you can see from the comments the KPI reports have helped to make the operators more efficient and focus on outstanding issues.
“The relationship with our drivers and how they now approach compliance has improved. We take a lot of pride in how we run transport.”
“We believe [earned recognition] is the way forward as it could free up DVSA resources to tackle non-compliant operators and finally create a level playing field in our industry.”
“From the support from the DVSA specialist, to the audit and upgrades to our tachograph system and IT Maintenance process has been a quick and easy process.”
“It demonstrates to our clients, suppliers and competitors that we’re fully committed to improving our vehicle and driver standards by working closely with DVSA on this scheme. Being recognised as an approved operator and founder member is something we’re proud of.”
