The benefits of joining up data in road transport operations

For too long data in many road transport operations has been isolated and burdened by inefficient data-gathering methods. Valuable information is kept out of the hands of those who could use it best and information is siloed within departments. Information is also isolated between companies and other groups making it difficult for operators to benchmark themselves. The DVSA's earned recognition scheme presents an opportunity for companies to pool information and benchmark themselves against industry standards.
