The European Commission has launched a public consultation on  Driver CPC to assess:

• how effective it is
• contribution to road safety
• what could improve its effectiveness

The consultation addresses all aspects of Driver CPC with specific questions relating to:

• separating the initial qualification from the driving test
• harmonising the syllabus and proof of status across the EU
• e-learning
• testing at the end of periodic training

You can also comment on any other aspect of Driver CPC. The consultation runs until 25 October 2013.
