The owners of two Maidstone haulage companies have been banned for life after an inquiry heard how their behaviour put road users at risk. The two owners of Euro Logistics London Ltd and Euro Logistics Kent Ltd, had their licences revoked for life by the Traffic Commissioner, Nick Denton. The transport manager for both firms was also indefinitely banned for his part in the operations.  and the Traffic Commissioner asked for the vehicles registered to the companies to be impounded. Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs (HMRC) and the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) reported the companies were operating without the correct licences and documents and were using defective vehicles. Drivers for both companies had been fined for traffic offences and dangerous loads and the businesses failed to provide tachograph and drivers’ hours records. Read the full story.
