Descartes joins forces with Exentra

On November 14th, 2012, Descartes Systems Group (TSX:DSG) (Nasdaq:DSGX), the global leader in uniting logistics-intensive businesses in commerce, acquired Exentra Transport Solutions Limited.

Exentra are a leader of software-as-a-service (SaaS) driver compliance solutions in the European Union (EU). Exentra’s Smartanalysis tachograph analysis and compliance management solution strengthens Descartes’ extensive Routing, Mobile and Telematics suite. 

The combined services will benefit Exentra’s clients in the EU in improving the productivity, performance and security of logistics businesses. Descartes have a long history of route planning success with marquee customers in the UK such as John Lewis Partnership and Wolseley and the acquisition will benefit Descartes customers in managing compliance with complex and ever changing legislation.
