Fleet operators call for changes to Driver CPC

Posted by AndrewT on 11th Mar 2022

According to recent research 95% of commercial road transport operators want changes to the way that the Driver Certificates of Professional Competence (Driver CPC) is delivered. Operators are looking for modernisation, flexibility, and alignment with the industry.

65% said that an eLearning module taken monthly would be better than a driver having to spend a whole 7-hour day on classroom training.

Regular “bite size” training has distinct advantages for the driver and the operator given the current situation with a shortage of drivers. and the impact fleet operations would be minimised.

Operators were supportive of Driver CPC with 60% saying it has a positive impact on their business.
